Dr. Jim Hoven to be Guest Speaker for Junior Achievement's Career Speaking Series
Dr. Jim Hoven is the Director of Operations at Ramos Law. Dr. Hoven was invited by Junior Achievement to be a guest speaker for their career speaker series. During this video, Dr. Hoven shares information about the journey that led to his career, insight on his field of work, and how students can find the perfect career for them.Â
“One thing, as you are going through this process, look for mentors. People that believe in your vision and your dream. People that see something in you that you might not see in yourself yet. And then, once you find them, stick to them, ask them questions. Make sure that you soak up all of the wisdom and energy that they have, because that is what really helped me get into chiropractic school.”
Dr. Hoven also shared words of encouragement and advice on what to do when faced with obstacles. “Don’t get caught up in what people say in respect to what your limitations are, use them to propel you, but not to hold you down.”
When asked why he chose to be apart of the Junior Achievement Speakers Series, “I want to be apart of the group that’s investing and pouring into the young people of today, so that when you (the students) are in your 30s, 40s or 50s, and you are leading this country, we are in an incredible place because we are led by incredible people like you.”
