Matthew Hefter

Hello, my name is Matthew Hefter, and I am a Business Attorney at Ramos Law, where I help individuals and businesses navigate complex legal challenges by offering practical, client-focused solutions. I joined the Ramos Law team in 2026 because I value the opportunity to support clients during important and often challenging moments in their lives.

I was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and raised in Niwot, Colorado. I started playing hockey at three years old, and the many years I spent on the ice helped shape my strong work ethic and competitive spirit. The valuable lessons I learned through the sport—hard work, perseverance, and loyalty—continue to influence how I approach my work and serve my clients.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I received a dual degree in Finance and Accounting. During my time at CU, I played ACHA Division I hockey and served as President of the Men’s Hockey Club. I also had the pleasure of working with the Denver Broncos as a Marketing and Promotions Intern for two seasons. Go Broncos!

I earned my Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington, through the executive two-year J.D. program. While in law school, I was a member of the Venture Capital & Private Equity Law Club and the Sports Arbitration Team. I also volunteered as a youth ice hockey instructor with the Spokane Jr. Chiefs and helped provide clothing and meals for individuals experiencing homelessness through Blessings Under the Bridge.

One of the core values that guides both my personal and professional life is treating others the way I want to be treated.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our English Bulldog, Vinny. I also enjoy playing hockey, golfing, cooking, watching sports, shows, and movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.
