Matthew Bulow, JD

Matt Bulow, Head of Certificate Defense at Ramos Law Aviation, has been with the Firm since 2023. Matt practices certificate defense exclusively and has gained extensive experience and invaluable insight in that niche practice area over the years. While his legal career began exploring the final frontier of space law, he traded in rockets and satellites for planes and helicopters when he began practicing.

Matt is a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he studied sociology and political science. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he participated in an international space law moot court competition in back-to-back years. Upon entering the practice of law, Matt found his home in the aviation industry and has served pilots, controllers and other airmen since, helping dozens of pilots get their wings for the first time or get them back.

Matt was a lawyer first but quickly caught the bug for flying. While he is still in the early days of his own journey to becoming pilot, his experience navigating the same path to certification as many of his client’s has proven invaluable to understanding their plight and effectively advocating for them.
