Ramos has the Inside Track

If you’ve been injured in a car crash, work injury or other type of accident you need someone to tell your story! Dr. Joseph Ramos and the attorneys at Ramos Law pride themselves on being experts at both reading the story that your doctors have written and then explaining that story to insurance carriers and adjusters so that they have all the information they need to create the proper value for your case.

It’s important to know how the insurance companies get the information they need to evaluate your claim. The doctors and other health care providers you use to get better following an accident (physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, etc.) write notes on every visit you have with them. The more complete their notes, the better idea the adjuster has of your injuries and the negative impact those injuries have had on you and your life. The insurance adjusters working on your claim are not medical experts and oftentimes don’t have a complete understanding of what the doctor’s notes REALLY mean. What Dr. Ramos can do better than anyone who isn’t a medical doctor is put those same notes into terms that CLEARLY explain your injuries and their effect on you. Think of it like this…doctors WRITE the story and attorneys TELL the story. No attorneys tell YOUR story better than we can at Ramos Law!!

Most people, including many attorneys feel that insurance companies don’t want to take care of injured victims but what we’ve found is that most insurance carriers will eventually pay what’s fair, but ONLY if they have ALL the facts so that they have a true understanding of what’s actually fair.

Tell Us About Your Case

One critical fact that needs to be established is that your injuries were caused by the accident/incident you were involved in.  In order for your case to have merit, it must be made clear that had you not been in the crash in the first place you wouldn’t have been hurt.  This is one of the most important steps in the entire process and leaving it to anyone but an expert is a serious mistake.

Oftentimes, insurance adjusters will look to penalize you if you’ve had any previous injuries that required treatment.  Our job is to help those adjusters see the difference between injuries caused by the accident and any you may have had in the past.  Because of Dr. Ramos’ extensive medical knowledge, no one is better equipped than him to differentiate new vs. pre-existing injuries.  Unless and until they know that your injuries are due to this accident/incident, you never have the best chance of getting all your medical bills treated with the serious consideration they deserve.

Insurance companies can’t refute medical evidence.  One more HUGE advantage in having a medical doctor as your attorney is our access to the latest in medical research relating to the impacts of accidents on the human body as well as the best ways to treat them.  We have this information at our fingertips and routinely send it to insurance carriers to keep them educated and informed when they look to deny care or coverage of your injuries.

Insurance companies have a duty to take care of those injured by their clients but they are not expected (nor should they be) to pay for any medical or related expenses that were not a direct result of the crash or incident.  For them to know exactly what those expenses are in any given case, they need to have all of the information they can get from doctors, employers, the injured person and at times even family members and friends! Getting all of that information takes a LOT of work and it’s not easy, especially if you’re trying to do it on your own!  Who better to help you through this process than a lawyer who’s also a doctor?!?!  Dr. Ramos has a complete understanding of not only the medicine, but the doctor’s notes that describe your injuries and treatment, and the laws that the insurance carriers are required to follow in order to compensate for those injuries, your lost wages and several other factors that are associated with them.

At the end of the day, getting back to doing the things in your life that are most important to you is what matters most and if you are hurt, you need a team that understands your injuries and can effectively explain them to insurance companies and adjusters…you need Team Ramos Law on your side!
