About Alex Sheppard

Alex grew up in rural Great Bend, Kansas. As the son of two nurses, he learned the value of hard work and dedication at a young age. While growing up, Alex loved competing in sports. In high school, he lettered in football, track, and swimming. His dedication to athletics allowed him to obtain a swimming scholarship at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa. After college, Alex was unsure of his career path but shadowed a patent litigator on a whim. Witnessing how exciting trial preparation and trial strategy planning were pushed Alex to pursue the path of becoming an attorney.

Alex attended Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While in law school, Alex interned for the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Sporting Kansas City, and Ryan Specialty Group. While taking a week-long intensive trial advocacy class, Alex learned his outgoing personality and competitive nature were a natural fit for the courtroom. After learning that personal injury attorneys were the shield between ordinary people and billion-dollar corporations, he decided to dedicate his career to advocating for those who had been injured due to the negligence of another. Alex has since spent his legal career recovering millions for his clients. Alex tried his first personal injury trial 5 months after passing the bar and has loved the courtroom ever since. Aside from his personal injury experience, Alex spent a year as a criminal defense attorney representing the accused and tried 5 bench trials in Kansas municipal courts.

Prior to being an attorney, some of Alex’s job titles include salt miner, farmhand, lifeguard, swim coach, laborer, and sales associate. While not working hard for his clients, Alex enjoys hiking, fitness, golfing, snowboarding, playing guitar, attending sports events, and cooking.
