Bridging Law & Medicine

The Ramos Law Mantra:
People First. Always.

If you have been injured in an auto accident in the past two years, you can count on our experienced legal team to guide you.

With a large amount of firms out there promising huge settlements, they are pretty much all the same. Ramos Law is different—and those differences make us strong.

We believe in putting people first every time. Our attorneys deliver first-class service to injured individuals and their families across our very own Arizona community. We have laughed and cried with our clients. We have hugged them and held their hands. Putting people first is just in our DNA.

We also offer something no other law firm can: the expertise of a trained ER doctor and lawyer. Dr. Ramos combines his knowledge of law and medicine to understand your injuries and explain them better than anyone.

Ramos Law accepts cases on a contingency fee basis, which means we do not collect until you get the care you need and the compensation you deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

An insurance company called & offered me money after my accident. Should I take it?

No – you should not take any money or sign any papers from an insurance company until you speak with an experienced car accident attorney. Odds are, the company is offering much less than you actually deserve. Let your attorney review your case and deal with the insurance company because despite the advertisements and slogans, insurance companies are more concerned with their bottom line than they are with compensating you for your injuries and losses.

The person who hit me didn’t have insurance. Who will help me pay for all these medical bills?

Just because someone does not have insurance or does not have enough insurance to cover your medical bills and lost wages, it doesn’t mean they aren’t responsible. Speak to your personal injury attorney as soon as possible so they can help you hold the driver responsible for their actions and get the compensation you need to help you while you recover.

How long after my accident do I have to file a claim?

The statute of limitations in Arizona is two years. If you’ve been involved in a car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, or pedestrian accident in the last two years, you may still have the ability to file a claim. Speak with one of our lawyers to see if you have a case.

Bridging Law & Medicine

Dr. Ramos is not just any lawyer. He was an ER doctor who saw that an incident ending in a medical problem, while traumatic by itself, can be the beginning of a long insurance battle. Dr. Ramos became a lawyer so that he could help individuals get back on their feet and move past a stressful situation with ease.

Ramos Law was started with the intention of helping good people get the best possible medical care with the insurance company paying what is fair. Our first priority is always our clients’ health. What Should I Do If I’m In A Car Accident?

DO

  • Make notes of any statements made by the other driver. Use your smartphone or another electronic device to record voice memos. This is a great way to collect details when on the scene of a car accident. Gather as much information about the car accident as you can. Start by taking down the other driver’s name, address, license number, and insurance information.
  • Collect additional information including the contact information of any witnesses, photographs of the vehicles, as well as descriptions of the road, traffic, and weather conditions. If your cell phone is able to record video, use it. Take a video of the scene of the accident from both up-close and at a distance. Include the location of traffic signs, crosswalks and etc. Make sure to write down the names of police officers on the scene so that it will be easier to get copies of their reports later.
  • Contact a personal injury attorney. The other driver’s insurance company will use several tactics – right from the very first phone call they make to you. It is very important that you let an experienced lawyer handle these conversations and paperwork for you so that your rights are protected. Be sure to consult an attorney before you sign anything.

DON’T

  • Forget or waive your right to seek immediate medical attention. After an accident, your body’s fight-or-flight response is triggered. One of the things this adrenaline rush does is to dull pain and, although you may not notice any at first, the whiplash motion caused by an accident can produce injuries that become more pronounced as time goes on. Additionally, you do not want the other driver’s lawyer to demean the severity of your injuries.
  • Believe that it’s “too late” to file your car accident claim. In Arizona, the special statute of limitations for auto accident claims is two years. You can file a car accident claim anytime within this two-year period, but keep in mind that there are many benefits to speaking with one of our attorneys as soon as possible.
  • Let the insurance company take advantage of you. Our experience has taught us one thing – the insurance companies won’t always do the right thing to help people and their families. We find they worry more about their profits than the victims. The insurance companies know who we are and they know we understand the medicine behind the injuries better than they do. They also know we are not afraid to go to court if they aren’t fair to our clients. Our trial lawyers have decades of combined courtroom experience fighting for our clients’ best interests.
